The welcome dinner was a nice start to the trip getting to meet and talk to all the other German students. Then to also get to meet their parents as well and try all kinds of different foods that the parents had either bought and brought with them or had made at home. The food was really good and it was nice getting to try a lot of new foods that I’ve either never had before or food that is similar to what I have had but a little better. But for the welcome dinner the girls set up and the boys took it down. So the girls arrived an hour early to help get everything ready. They had set up drinks and as the food got there, they had set the all the food out. There was a large variety of foods, something from each family, we had tried as much as we could, we were super excited to try all the new foods. Everything I ate was pretty good. The desserts were also really good. There was all types of both food and desserts. There was different types of pizza, different pasta salads, lots of breads with different toppings and some plain, and different pastas with good sauces.
