5/23/25 was the first day of school in Germany!! I was nervous at first but towards the end of the day I was more confident. The only class I was able to understand was English class, the teacher seemed really cool in that class. The other class we had was their religion class but I couldn’t understand anything in that class, the teacher also kinda seemed mean. We had the English class after religion, in between classes was a 15 min break which is different since we don’t get breaks between classes. In the English class they have been working on a book and they had to write a poem or a song for the assignment. I guess my English teacher Mr. Guice actually taught me something I remembered because I noticed things that were wrong and I knew how to fix them. I knew I was right when the teacher corrected the same thing I did. She was a cool teacher. After English we had a 20 minute break in which we met the principle and assistant principal who greeted us and gave us a gif card, some candy, a pencil, and a bucket list for things we should try to do. After that we breaker for a few and me and Savannah got chicken(schnitzel) sandwiches and we headed to Kara’s orchestra class. While we ate they played songs from Moana, like a mixed track of all the songs in Moana, lean on me, and Thriller. They sounded very good. I knew the songs so I was singing as they played. When the class ended at 2:30 we got picked up by her dad and she was went back home. He made food which was pieces of ham under cheesy potatoes, it was amazing. After we ate we had about an hour before we had to go to the welcome dinner so we hung out in the room and watched Hunger Games.
