Personal Blog #3 – Presley Hayes

On May 25, we took a trip to the Dechen Cave. While we were waiting for our tour guide, we were sitting in group at a few tables. Nate fell asleep, and we had a competition on who could stack the most stuff on his head before anything fell off or he woke up. When our tour guide came, we took a short walk to the entrance of the cave, where our tour guide gave us a debriefing before we entered. When we got inside, it was very beautiful inside and the tour guides explained each spot inside. The lighting against some of the areas made it look way cooler than with no extra lighting. Some of the areas looked like a bunch of mud was sculptured into a shape, but it was really buildup of droplets over thousands of millions of years. There was also a part of the tour where there was a huge drop in the ground, and it contained real animals bones inside. There was also another part that had kind of a pond inside with very clear water inside and it was very pretty. After the cave, we went to a food festival and I had some really good fries and a crepe.
