On May 24, we took the day trip to Cologne. It was very exciting, even though it was a long way there on the train. At first, when we were waiting, it was very cold. In the cathedral it was very nice inside. There were lots of artistic pieces and the stained glass piece was very beautiful. We walked around for a while and took lots of pictures. After that, some of us walked what felt like forever to a smash burger place. It was worth it though, because the burgers were very delicious. When we finished the burgers we walked around a bit more and then got some strawberry matcha. Lily didn’t like matcha, so she got a chai latte and it was really good too. There were a couple shops that we visited too, but nobody really bought anything because nothing caught anybody’s eye. We walked around for quite a long time visiting shops, and it quickly became dark, so we said our goodbyes and headed home. It was a very fun experience, even though I was very tired when we got home and didn’t really buy anything. It kind of reminded me of New York, how everything was structured and how cold the wind was.
