When the guys had finished cleaning up the welcome dinner a group of us went to a sight seeing place called Himmels Leiter. The group and I “hiked” up the hill/mountain, we walked from the school, and it was a fun walk. I love hiking so I enjoyed the walk. Once we got to the top there was a really cool rock structure. A few people climbed up I. The view was beautiful especially when the sunset happened. I am so glad I could take pictures and capture this moment but nothing compares to actually being there in person. We stayed until the sun went down. Because the hill was so steep it scared me because I thought I might fall but we all messed around and had fun. When we went to leave we ran down the steep gravelish hill all of us trying to not fall. The wall down/ when we were up there was freezing. I couldn’t really feel my hands, face… nothin, because of how cold
It was. I think it got about 40-42 degrees F plus wind and being so high up without sun, because we could see pretty much all of the Wattenscheid which was super cool, walking through the trail as the sun went down was cool. Everything looked pretty. At the bottom the group kinda split in half, some pairs had to go a different way home than the others. We walked down a long flat trail after we split from the group and walked home. We were still very cold when we got home so Kara’s dad offered and made me hot chocolate which was good. Her mom got out a lot of snacks and Savannah picked out a board game and the five of us sat down and played “Music BINGO”. It was kinda hard because I didn’t know music as well as I know the lyrics. Kara won, we suggested that we continue to play but Kara’s dad had to be up early for work. We cleaned up the snacks and the game and headed up to the room. It was close to 12 and we put on pjs and finished watching hunger games(the same one we were on). Eventually we turned it off and went to sleep because we knew we had to wake up early again the next day.
