Feeding Deer and The Zoo

On Friday, May 30th, My German Partner, her family, my sister, and I all took a trip to feed deer in the morning. Then, in the evening, my German partner and I joined my sister, her German partner and their family went to the zoo. Upon feeding the deer, the trail to get to the deer was very long. However, it was filled with lots of wild animals. Including, hogs, pot-belly pigs, emus, a lynx, two wolves, a peacock, and a kangaroo. The hogs were massive, and they even had baby hogs there too. They were adorable. The lynx was faced away from us on the trail but it was staring at the deer further ahead on the trail. Fortunately, it was caged in so there was no chance of it getting to them. The wolves were intrigued by the sound of the kids and babies playing and crying. But when arriving to the deer, there were hundreds of them. All one herd, with tons of does, bucks, and fawns. The bucks were not scared of humans at all, getting all up in your personal space for the corn. However, the moms and the baby deer stayed back to ensure better safety for their babies. Later in the evening, at the zoo we saw lots of bizarre animals as well. Meerkats, lemurs, mongoose, monkeys, squirrels, seals, penguins, birds, a huge vulture, and what I found most interesting a guinea pig. A common pet in America. While at the zoo, I noticed the seals relaxed and calm nature, they were just soaking up the sun in the water. It reminded me of what I wanted to do in the summer. Bask in the sun, relax, and enjoy life. The animals always had a private space for them to go, where they could get away from the sight of humans, and most also, had babies alongside with them. All in all, we had a lot of fun, and learned a lot.
